Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy
For Young Women Aged 15-18 years via Zoom
Thursdays 6-7.30pm (Term time only)
Welcome to this page, and thank you for coming here. Both Emma and I are here to support you at this important time in your lives. Whether your struggling with issues around body image, food, friendship group, education stresses, sexuality or gender, we are here to offer you a warm virtual hug of care and support!
We both have many years experience supporting young women with a wide range of difficulties. We understand some of the challenges you are facing at this time, and want to offer you this special safe space with other young women to explore some of these struggles together, whilst receiving some compassionate, skilled support from us.

Regardless of your sexual preferences or gender identity, this is open to anyone with a female body, as we will explore themes that specifically relate to the female body, therefore these sessions would only be appropriate if this applies to you.
We will meet every Thursday in term time, committing to a half term at a time, at 5.30-7pm on Zoom. Within these sessions we will tackle some hot topics for young women and offer some helpful guidance on some of the challenges that you maybe facing.
Within this group sessions, we will offer you support of topics like:
* Mental health difficulties
* Body image
* Sexuality & Relationship
* How to have a healthy relationship with body and your periods
* How to manage difficulties at home and with your friends
* Dealing with study/exam stresses
* Anything else you maybe struggling with...

For anyone under 18, we will need to have your parents consent for you to be able to participate, please make sure this would be ok before attending the FREE introductory session.
If you would like to join us after the FREE introductory session,
the cost is £25 per session, paid in half term blocks in advance of the start of the first session.

Group Facilitators

Format of the sessions:
* Each session will begin with a 5-10 minutes of mindfulness practice. This maybe a guided meditation, or practicing mindful awareness a variety of different ways.
* From this, we will offer a some education input on different topics. (As mentioned above)
* We will then go into break-out groups with the support of one of the facilitators, to explore the personal impact of these topics, and how you can apply this in your lives.
* We will support you to develop a range of different skills including
Focusing, Emotion Regulation and Awareness Practices.
* Each week we will end with a couple of minutes of relaxation
* From this, we will offer a some education input on different topics. (As mentioned above)

Our group will begin on Thursday 9th June 2022, 6-7.30pm on Zoom. If you are interested in attending this, please join us FREE introductory session first.
